  • "North Star Canine Connection is THE BEST training organization in all of New England! True to their name, Liz has a very special connection with dogs… AND with their owners. You couldn’t ask for a more kind, caring, professional trainer. With her calm and patient demeanor, Liz takes the time to evaluate and understand your dog’s issue(s). She then develops a personalized plan to adjust your dogs behaviors, and ultimately resolve the problems that may have seemed insurmountable before you walked in her door! If Google would allow more stars, I would rate her a 10!""

  • "Liz is a wonderful, kind, dedicated, thoughtful, intelligent, caring, and driven trainer. We were having severe aggressive resource guarding issues, aggressive-fear based reactions, separation anxiety, and fear of socializing with our furry family member. After researching many trainers and behaviorists we found North Star Canine Connection and it has changed our lives! Liz is not only amazing with understanding and reading dogs body language and signals but she’s very thorough and competent with her teaching techniques. Her training plans are amazing! She evaluates and adjusts to each individual dogs needs. Not only does she address the initial issues with training techniques but builds upon them at your dogs pace! Stop searching and CALL LIZ! You’ve helped our dog truly grow into a wonderful companion and saved my sanity!"

  • "Liz is extremely knowledgeable, patient, helpful, and understanding in her approach to training. She’s helped me out so much with my dachshund, Nellie and showing me the tools to manage her reactivity. I have referred several people and dogs to her for training and they have all had nothing but great things to say about their experiences. If you are looking for training for your pup, look no further!"

  • “We absolutely LOVED our training session with Elizabeth. Her knowledge & professionalism was top notch. It was so fun to see how quickly Stormy responded to her instruction. I am thrilled with the session and the “homework schedule “ she sent us! Highly recommended!”

  • “Elizabeth Beaulieu is a compassionate and positive dog trainer. She uses only positive methods and makes the training fun for both the pup and their owner. She has helped me so much with my own dog, a timid and traumatized shelter dog. She tailors the methods to meet the needs of each client and their dog. I highly recommend her!”

  • "I recently took the adult dog tuneup class with Liz and really enjoyed it. One of the things I appreciated most was how well organized everything was. Every dog had their own area to work in, visual barriers were available if needed for overstimulated dogs (like mine), and Liz even provided a box of tools to use throughout the class (a kong and easy cheese, a tug toy, a tennis ball, long lead, etc.). She really thought of it all. Partway through the course my dog went into heat and couldn’t continue, but Liz kindly let me finish out the last classes with one of my other dogs. I highly recommend her and will definitely be utilizing her services again!"

  • We highly recommend North Star Canine Connection. My kids each had a lesson with their dog, and got so much out of it. Elizabeth is so patient and was wonderful teaching my kids the correct way to work with our dogs. My favorite part was seeing how much she loves what she does. Information pouring out with so much passion. We left with tons of tools and notes she printed out for us, which was super helpful once we got home.

  • “We met with Elizabeth last night to work with our pup Kenzie and was amazed at how quickly she picked up on the training. We also have 2 other dogs and while we did separate them from Kenzie, they were focused on watching Kenzie’s training. If your looking for a great trainer make an appointment with Elizabeth, you won’t be disappointed.”

  • “The trainer here went beyond my expectations. She explained my dog's behavior in a way I hadn't thought of and wrote a plan for me to follow with a checklist of exercises to work on every day. My dog is already showing improvement. Instead of barking at people he is afraid of, he is looking at me instead. Liz took more time than our appointment was scheduled for to make sure I understood the plan. She is my go-to trainer from now on.”

  • "Elizabeth worked with me to evaluate a dog before I adopted him. I love her training method, which uses positive reinforcement, and was immediately effective. She was incredibly knowledgeable, kind and patient, taking the time to get to know my dog so that I could feel comfortable making the decision to adopt. Her training space is well built and well thought out. She has huge amounts of recommendations and resources that she readily shared. I will be returning to work with Elizabeth on a regular basis, I am looking forward to seeing her again and the progress we can make with my new dog. I can't recommend her enough, it was a wonderful experience!"

No need for shock or prong collars when you have Liz as your trainer. She is a valuable resource for life!"

  • "Liz did a great job engaging the owners and the pets. I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel that we adopted at 10 months old. Before we adopted her she lived her life in a car. Liz was so helpful and patient with us and the dog showing us different techniques. We didn’t know where to begin working with our dog. Liz and this class made a world of difference to the dog."

    — Cindy M.

  • "We loved our Puppy Essentials class with North Star Canine Connection. Excellent instruction and puppy socialization time. Learned so much and can’t wait to take more classes with this instructor. Liz was amazing, even providing lots of extra help whenever asked. All of the pups made great progress, from a noisy first night to awesome group playtime in our last class. Anxious for more!"

  • "Liz is fabulous! Her classes are fun, informative, and approachable. I just finished the Adult Dog 101 course, and with Liz's encouragement I'm planning to enroll one of my dogs in the CGC course next. Separate from the training classes, Liz helped facilitate the adoption of one of my dogs. She was a huge asset and ally in that process, and she was absolutely invaluable for all of the advice she shared during the initial adjustment phase after my pup arrived. Liz is pure gold!"

  • "Liz is so wonderful to work with. She really puts her heart and soul into what she does! She is knowledgeable, caring, understanding, and has the positive methods needed to work with your dog(s)! Having two huskies, one whom I had to take on and is not getting along well with my resident dog; Liz has made it possible to bring the two together and make it possible for us to keep both under one roof as a happy pack! Highly highly recommend her for any of your training or behavioral needs with your pups!"

  • "I can't recommend Liz enough! She has been amazing with our puppy Loki. She is always quick and responsive, answers all of my questions and concerns, and my dog loves her! She's fantastic not only with training my dog but also helping my family and me to learn what is best to do with him! We are beyond grateful for all of the knowledge she's given us and will continue to have her help to train our dog. We've only had two sessions so far and he's improved so much already!"

  • "I have a jack Russell that’s two years old. I’ve had him since he was a puppy. I had my old girl that was 18. She was a jack as well and had make the difficult decision to put her down last October so when that happened all the sudden his attention went to everybody that was walking by the house, and he decided it was his job to bark, but the barking was manic and out of control and I couldn’t stop him. I’m also an insurance agent so that it made it very difficult for me to work. He also had excitement pee he would do, so I would put doggy diapers on him at times, and then I had gone to last resort having a bark collar on him, which only made him go into a frenzy manic crazy barking state and didn’t stop them from barking. He passed out cold twice. I brought him to the vet twice. He couldn’t hear anything with his heart, but he suggested cardio check up, but I don’t know if you’ve ever seen a Jack Russell run, but this dog can run and he never had any issue of any kind after such a Exertion of energy. my gut told me that it was anxiety that was making him pass out and so we put him on anxiety medicine, but it didn’t help with the barking. gone a very stressed out, anxious barking mess to a very happy butt wagging Jack Russell.. I think I was putting too many controls on him. He didn’t understand what I wanted and I didn’t know how to tell what I wanted. Liz came to my house and did a one on one class with Buster and the immediate engagement that she had with him blew my mind! What I saw between the two of them was that what I wanted he and I to have. He is a jack Russell that did not want to be controlled, but he’s so wanted to engage and I just didn’t know what to do. He is a different dog today and so much happier! So there you have it I went to class because my dog fainted because I was too controlling for my poor Jack! We are still learning. He doesn’t have to be a perfect dog and I don’t have to be a perfect dog mom but we are learning. And I see him relaxed and by the way, he’s off the meds that makes me very happy and I can’t thank Liz enough!"
